The power of a Band Aid

Today I’m putting a band-aid on my hand.  I’ll put one on the hands of my daughters too.  It will be a reminder to pray for the people of Japan.  The band-aid will be a symbol of brokenness.  There is a devastating wound that cannot be covered up by a mere bandage.  But the band-aid will cause me to move from non-action to action.  I will choose an organization that will help with physical needs and minister the love of Jesus Christ.  American Heritage Girls sees positive change coming from Franklin Graham’s Samaritan's Purse organization.

The band-aid will also be a symbol of healing. Underneath the bandage, a miracle of hope is working. Healing comes in many forms, including your prayers. You can release the power of prayer right now. Children’s prayers are sweet and powerful. They speak words that amaze me every day.  Pray together as a family today.
God in his redemptive way wants to reveal himself to the Japanese people in an unprecedented way even through such a heart-breaking tragedy.

Some of my favorite Bible verses are also powerful prayers. I like Ephesians 3:14-20 and my family will pray it for the Japanese people.  What are some of your favorite Bible verses that offer hope and healing? Share these and let’s pray in unity for our brothers and sisters in Japan.

Thank you guest blogger, Jody Token, for your post today.

Until next time,
Patti
